When Honda were designing the latest Accord, it’s fairly obvious that they had the business user in mind. Everything about this car has the elegant, high-quality feel to it. The interior feels solid, with the old Accord toughness to boot. Space is not an issue either, it can easily hold five people and there is a pretty big boot for their luggage. The centre console is laid out really well and is bursting with technology and safety features. Although, there are that many buttons and dial it can be slightly distracting when you’re driving. In terms of engines, there are some fantastic ones available for the Accord, the 2.2-litre i-DTEC being the leader of the pack. It can push out 150bhp, 350nm of torque and can go from 0-60 in 9.1 seconds. The selling point for it is the fuel economy, it returns around 53 miles to the gallon.

•  No wind or road noise at all inside when driving

•  It handles fantastically and steering is super sharp

•  Great selection of powerful engines to choose from

•  It just isn’t as exciting to drive as the likes of the Mondeo

•  The boot is a decent size but is shaped awkwardly and not as big as rivals
